Dawson Lu, an aspiring musician and activist from the present day strand of Redhand Guitar, is struggling to find her own voice and make an impact.
The narrative begins when she receives an unexpected package – a cigar box left her by her recently deceased grandfather. Inside it are letters and photographs, an audio tape, a newspaper clipping – clues to her past and that of the redhand guitar.
Each artifact tells a part of the story
and elicits testimonies from Dawson’s community, virtual
and real.
Over the course of the experience, new artifacts, recordings, and testimonies are added to the mix.
And Dawson ventures out into the natural world.
