Through Redhand Legacy, an interactive social narrative, prospective visitors to the theatre piece and the after-party would be introduced to Dawson Lu, from the present-day strand of the redhand story. As they come to know her in the virtual world – her aspirations as an artist, an activist, and an advocate for the disenfranchised – the community will become engaged in Dawson’s search for the origins of her own story and her efforts to take control of that narrative going forward.
Through the social media interaction, Dawson and her followers will discover clues to the history of the redhand guitar and the musicians and non-musicians who gave it its power.
This will lay the foundation for further online interactions during and after the after-party.
